It is 1AM here and its officially Christmas day in Japan. Thank you to the Aquino family for inviting us to their warm home and making us all these filipino dishes— specially the calamari (my favorite). I spent majority of my day before my noche buena, relaxing in my room, drinking Moscato. And now, night time — the others are killing these bottles of alcohol, I will definitely pass on that. Instead, i am paying more attention to the food, devouring, and savoring it because it will probably be a long time again when I can eat some homemade courses.
Although, Im very far away from my home in Cali, I still am thankful to the man up above for blessing me this opportunity to spend holidays in a different country. Sometimes, I tend to take things for granted because I learned that when we— humans get what we want, we no longer take much interest to the idea of finally acquiring it. Happy Birthday baby Jesus for this experiences of 2011! I love you.
